2017 Ford EcoSport Titanium S Variant Spotted Ahead Of Launch

Some units prepared to produce the facelift Ford EcoSport 2017 were seen in India before the official launch of the subcompact. These upgraded EcoSport models are expected to go on sale in the country this year, in what appears to be a deposit. Interestingly, one of the cars was seen with a new badge of “Titanium S”, with the suffix S that finally indicates a sports edition. The TDCi rear-marking engine indicates that the titanium liner S will be equipped with the 1.5-liter diesel engine experienced an HP 99, which should already in the outgoing model. This is similar to the Figo S and Aspire S models the company launched in India earlier this year.

It is likely that the new Ford EcoSport Titanium S is recessed above the standard titanium variant. It is still unclear whether the company will release it next to the facelift or at a later date. To go with the suffix “S”, the model also comes with a lot of upgrades compared to the standard EcoSport face wash, which is next to it. The changes are mainly aesthetic with lots of black elements like the darker grille, smoked headlights with LED daytime running lights, black skins for foglams and black roof rails. The most important change, however, is the sporty set of alloy wheels that add a whole new character to the SUV.

As the standard version of the upcoming Ford EcoSport facelift, the Titanium S model also gets the new central “EcoSport” cap engraved on the spare wheel mounted on the tailgate. In addition to this, the car is also equipped with a larger rear spoiler and a new front and rear bumper with black plastic lid. Rest of changes that are quite similar to EcoSport facelift, including new interior and the great information and entertainment system with touch screen, which will come with Apple carplay, Android Auto, and of course the Ford SYNC3 connectivity system.

As for the other engine options, the updated Ford EcoSport will also receive the new 1.5-liter three-cylinder petrol engine, also called the Dragon. The new natural aspiration motor Ti-VCT (independent Twin variable camshaft Variable) is capable of producing a good torque of 120 hp and a maximum torque of 150 Nm. The engine will also be used for EcoSport export. And in addition to that, Ford India will also continue to offer the popular 1.0-liter EcoBoost engine.

Although the launch date for the Ford EcoSport update in India is still unclear, dealers expect the car to arrive before the end of the year. Reservations for the Ford EcoSport 2017 face wash should also start around Diwali and some Ford dealers we talked to also said something similar. At launch, the EcoSport will be more than equipped to compete with the Suzuki Vitara Brezza, Tata Nexon and Mahindra TUV300 Maruti, among other 4-meter SUVs on the market.
